Welcome to Port Royal!
Port Royal Pennsylvania was established in 1812, and incorporated in 1843. The town was formally named Perrysville, after Commodore Perry, a war hero of 1812. In 1874 Perrysville adopted the name Port Royal. The small town consists of approximately 1,000 residents, and is located in the heart of Central Pennsylvania. The town is surrounded by mountains, the Juniata River as well as the Pennsylvania Railroad. For more information on this quaint town, visit the Bicentennial Page. There’s lots to learn and much to explore, so be our guest and immerse yourself in the smallest of towns, filled with biggest of hearts.
